Cincinnati Children’s Hospital began training and hiring high school students with disabilities through the Project Search program. Project Search partnered with businesses, communities and schools to help students gain hands-on training and work experience. Cincinnati Children’s Hospital has been training and employing students with disabilities in positions involving sterilizing surgical equipment and working defibrillators on a carpet-making production line. Holland Bloorview Kid’s Rehabilitation Hospital interviewed Erin Riehle, director of disability services and Project Search, about the program.
