Are you interested in learning about the untold stories of Vancouver? Are you looking to gain experience in community engagement? Apply a social justice lens to local history today by joining PeerNet BC’s youth team for the Social Justice Bus Tour today!
This project will run from June to October 2017, and is open to youth aged 25 and under. As part of the youth team, you will help coordinate a tour route of historic sites around Vancouver, and narrate the stories surrounding those places. For example, did you know that Coal Harbour was once home to the only Hawaiian community in Vancouver?
No experience needed – just an open-mind and an enthusiasm to learn and connect with local communities! PeerNet BC will also provide reference letters for those needing to gain volunteer hours, as well as bus tickets and food!
For more information, please contact Simran at simran@peernetbc.com or call 604-733-6186 by Monday, June 19th.
