FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
January 10, 2019
Vancouver, BC – The Cerebral Palsy Association of British Columbia (CPABC) is removing all clothing donation bins from locations with public access. In the wake of tragic current events that have happened with clothing donation bins across the country, the Association has removed over half of our publicly accessible bins and is working with our partners to see the remaining four bins removed as quickly as possible.
Proceeds from CPABC’s clothing donation bins have supported our inclusive programs and services offered to those in the province of BC who live with cerebral palsy and other disabilities. As we are unwilling to present any hazard to vulnerable members of our community, the removal of all publicly accessible bins is necessary.
For 65 years, CPABC has worked to create a Life Without Limits for people living with cerebral palsy and other disabilities by providing support, education and information throughout BC.
