Launched in 2024, the CP Gamers Club brings people with cerebral palsy together in a fun, accessible virtual space. The program provides video game equipment, adaptive technology, and peer support, allowing members to connect through shared gaming experiences. In its first year, 20 members received PlayStation 5 consoles, Access Controllers, Adaptive Gaming Kits, and customized switches and joysticks tailored to their needs. Monthly guest speakers cover topics such as accessibility in games, designing your own video game, and competitive gaming strategies. Supported by partners including Technology for Living, the Neil Squire Society’s Makers Making Change, and EasySurf, the club fosters connection, empowerment, and skill-building, creating a vibrant community of gamers. This program was jointly funded by the PA Woodward Foundation, Kindred Foundation, Face the World Foundation, and BC Rehab Foundation

The Cerebral Palsy Association of BC was started in 1954 by a group of parents who wanted to assist their children living with CP to reach their maximum potential within society. We provide support, education, and information throughout BC. Our Mission is: To raise awareness of Cerebral Palsy in the community; To assist those living with Cerebral Palsy to reach their maximum potential; and To work to see those living with Cerebral Palsy recognize their place as equals in a diverse society. Recognized by the 2013 City of Vancouver Award for Accessibility and Inclusivity, the Cerebral Palsy Association of BC has supported people living with CP and other disabilities for over 60 years.
