Gamers Club

Get a PlayStation 5 and Adaptive Controllers—join the CPABC Gamers Club and game together!

We’re launching a CPABC Gamers Club! We will connect gamers  from across the province in a unique initiative designed for youth and young adults with cerebral palsy.
If you are not a gamer but would like a new hobby, please apply!  

There are 2 ways to join the CPABC Gamers Club and game together:

1. Apply for a PlayStation 5 – see eligibility criteria below 

2. Bring your own Gaming Consoles!

This program provides gamers with accessible gaming equipment and a supportive online community where members can talk about what games they want to play, and when they can game together. Members will receive specialized adaptive controllers and a PlayStation 5 to keep, enabling them to engage in online gaming.
Members in the Gamers Club will receive equipment assessments by Neil Squire Society’s Makers Making Change and equipment installations by Technology For Living!

How it Works

CPABC will give PlayStation 5 Consoles to 20 participants and accommodate up to 100 gamers for the Gamers Club.

The Gamers Club will:
 
  • Provide 20 PlayStation 5 consoles (yours to keep!) 
  • Provide specialized equipment such as controllers and switches
  • Welcome those bringing their own Gaming Console  
  • Connect through the Discord platform, where members can chat about gaming, set up gaming events, and ask gaming questions.    
  • Host a monthly online Gamers Club for social interactions and discussions around common interests
  • Welcome special guests and topic-specific experts to participate in the sessions to enrich the experience 
  • Support, and encourage connection and engagement

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Criteria for PlayStation 5

To qualify for a PS5, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a resident of British Columbia
  • Have a formal diagnosis of cerebral palsy
  • Be a member of the CPABC (free) 
  • Join monthly virtual meet up for 6 months
 

Eligibility Criteria to join the Gamers Club with your own Gaming Console:
